Portal FAQ
A simple place to track homeschool records, plan ahead, and generate reports without unnecessary clutter.
What is the Parent Portal?
The FFE Parent Portal is a lightweight record-keeping tool for homeschool families. It helps you track completed work, planned work, breaks, and printable reports in one place.
What can I track here?
You can log daily work, mark subjects complete, record time spent, add notes, plan future work, note school breaks, and generate reports based on the records you have entered.
Can I use it for more than one child?
Yes. The portal is designed to let you keep records for multiple children while still making it easy to filter by child when you want to review or report on one student at a time.
What is the difference between logs, plans, and breaks?
Logs are for work that has already been done. Plans are for work you intend to do. Breaks are for days or date ranges when school will not be in session. Once a log or break is entered, the calendar modal will automatically count your weeks of school and adjust dynamically any time a day is skipped or break is scheduled.
Can I generate reports?
Yes. The portal includes report tools that let you choose a child, subject selection, and date range so you can create a clean record of what has been completed.
Is this only for FFE curriculum users?
No. While it is designed to fit naturally alongside Firm Foundation Education resources, the portal is intended to be useful for any homeschool record-keeping.
Is this a demo?
If you are exploring the public demo, it will be very clearly labeled as "Demo" in many places. When in the demo, any data you enter is temporary and will be cleared when you end the session. The full portal is intended to provide a simple, secure, long-term tool for families. This version is planned to be released before the 2026-2027 school year.
